Spice mix for turmeric beef soup
shallots 37.9%, salt, vegetable oil 14.4%, garlic 8.7%, lemongrass 3.5%, pepper 3.1%, cumin, ginger 2%, coriander, turmeric 2%, galanga
1 lb beef (various cuts like brisket, tendon and tripe can be used too).
3 clove garlic.
2 shallots or 1/4 Onion.
Garnish: 2 tbsp fried crispy sliced shallot, a dash of lemon juice.
1. Boil beef with 1.5L water until done. Slice beef 1/2 cm thick. Use 4 cups (900ml) of broth.
2. Sautee garlic and shallots/onion over low heat until fragrant.
3. Add Bamboe Spice Mix , salted garlic & shallots/onion, stir well.
Continue cooking for flavor.
4. Serve hot with garnish, and add drops of lime.
